They're both range dps and healing - infact a lot of heals through doing dps IIRC. As for EQ druids - they're every bit the match for clerics now in a pure healing roll. I've never really been an alt player, but the relative paucity of high-level content, and the all EPIC FUNS to be had in the new levelling experience has made it worthwhile now.
